My name is Kathryn Simmons and I received my teaching degree from Appalachian State University in 2004 to become a middle school English Language Arts teacher. I have three children: Ian, Izzy, and Aiden. An interesting fact about me is that I was born in Guyana, South America, and raised here in North Carolina! Kayaking the New River is my favorite hobby.
